Ray Shoemaker Is A Healthcare Manager
Ray Shoemaker is a healthcare manager that has several major accolades to his name, not least founding the successful Rural Healthcare Developers organization, which aims to acquire, develop, and change the fortunes of rural healthcare centers that have previous endured poor results. Prior to this, he was named Turnaround King by the Memphis Business Journal and won an Up and Comers award from the Modern Healthcare journal – an award which highlights the achievements of young healthcare managers under the age of 40.
His early career in this field was an obvious indication of his skill at healthcare management. Having enjoyed a successful period as director for Behavioral Health for Perspectives/Horizons Mental Health Management Ray Shoemaker was awarded the opportunity to open a behavioral health center at the Tri-Lakes Medical Center in Batesville. Within a month, Ray Shoemaker had established the geri-psych unit. Ray went on to open two more behavioral health units and increase the unit to 22 beds.
In 2007 Ray Shoemaker took all of his experience in the healthcare industry as well as the experience he gained in the United States Armed Forces in order to establish the Rural Healthcare Developers. The Rural Healthcare Developers is an organization that is dedicated to giving those living in rural locations access to the latest and most effective healthcare available. Specifically, the organization does this by identifying under performing health centers, acquiring them, and turning their fortunes around. A fitting role for an organization led by the man once named the Turnaround King.
